(CHARLOTTE) --Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated reported a third quarter loss of $3.1 million. This compared to to net income of $5.3 million reported for the same period in 2007.
SPX Quarterly Revenue Prevails Over Global Downturn
(CHARLOTTE) -- SPX Corporation reported a 28.8 percent increase in third quarter revenue. The international engineered solutions firm had third quarter revenue of $1.51 billion. This is up from $1.17 billion for during the same period last year.
WNC To Get Major Solar Plant
(ASHEVILLE) -- Progress Energy is partnering with two other companies, with North Carolina ties, to acquire solar power produced at what will be Western North Carolina's first large-scale solar energy project. The plant will be built at a former landfill site in Haywood County.

(WINSTON-SALEM) -- Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. announced Monday that its Hong Kong franchisee plans to enter into receivership. The franchisee has been in operation in Hong Kong for approximately two years and operates nine Krispy Kreme locations.
